Since the early 1900s, Daytona Beach has been known for its beautiful wide beaches and motorsports. That tradition continues today with several internationally known race events held at the Daytona International Speedway, particularly those centered around Race Week in February, Bike Week in March, and BikeToberFest in October.
The Daytona International Speedway is a versatile 480-acre motorsports facility that is home to the biggest, richest and most prestigious stock car race in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series- the DAYTONA 500. The track offers three separate tours that take race fans inside the hallowed grounds of NASCAR's marquee race track.
In addition to these major race events, Daytona Beach hosts numerous festivals and events happening all over the area throughout the year. Bikers travel from all over the country to Daytona's largest annual event - Bike Week. Black College Reunion
An annual event that sees upwards of 10,000 people attending a three-day festival of fun, food, drink, music and entertainment. The action is focused on Atlantic Avenue next to the beach.
Daytona Beach Sights & Sounds of Summer Concert Series. May 28-Sept. 3.
Enjoy soothing ocean breezes and great live music at Daytona Beach's historic Bandshell all summer long! The free concert series takes place every Saturday from 5 p.m.-9:45 p.m., from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day Weekend. Rock, blues, big band, rhythm and blues, country and jazz artists perform weekly.
Ormond Beach Seafood & Blues Festival - May 14 - 15, 2011
Food lovers, this event is for you! Taste a variety of fresh seafood from local restaurants, enjoy live music, vendors and children's activities at the annual Ormond Beach Seafood Festival. There will be more than 20 music acts performing and plenty of seafood to taste. Located at Rockefeller Gardens, at 25 Riverside Drive in Ormond Beach (just north of Daytona). Fireworks Light Up Daytona Beach
